Telehealth consent

Last updated: September 12, 2026.

If your evaluation or follow-up is conducted by video or phone, these terms apply.

What telehealth means here

Some evaluations and follow-ups may be done by video or phone, depending on your case and clinical availability.

Good faith exam

In Florida, any prescription treatment requires a good faith exam performed by a physician, PA or APRN. That exam may include additional questions, a visual exam by video, or, if needed, an in-person visit.

Limits of telehealth

Telehealth isn't appropriate for emergencies. If you're having a medical emergency, call 911.

The quality of your connection and the privacy of the space you connect from are your responsibility.

Confidentiality

Telehealth sessions are handled with the same confidentiality as an in-person visit.

Your right to choose

You can request an in-person visit instead of telehealth at any time.
